Sample Itinerary

  • Upon your arrival, our guide will welcome you and transfer to your hotel. Relax and get fresh up and head to your first Cambodian Cuisine, then have your orientation and introduction to Cambodian culture!

  • Arrun Sursdai! This morning you will have your first Khmer language lessons as a good way to start immersing yourself in Khmer Culture. Today you will head to two historic museums to learn about the recent history of Cambodia, S21 Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields.

    Afternoon: visit the Royal Palace and learn about the history of the monarchy, its architecture, and the kingdom's religious revolution. Then head to Wat Phnom, the birthplace of Phnom Penh in the 14th century. Later in the afternoon, visit the famous Central Market, built during French colonization, a good place to shop for souvenirs for family and friends.

  • Siem Reap is an easy town to fall in love with, especially while strolling through night markets for some shopping.

    Enjoy great Khmer cuisine while in the city and participate in various activities.

    Visit the Cambodian Circus, an inspiring acrobatic show performed by students from Phare Ponleu Selpak, an organization that works with youth on art-based education.

  • Explore the ancient city Angkor, witness the sunrise at Angkor Wat, learn about the intricate carvings of Angkor’s historic battle scenes, see the smiling face temple, Bayon Temple, and the famous Tomb-rider temple, Ta Prohm.

  • It’s time to embark on an exciting cruise through the floating village region of Cambodia. This is an eye-opening journey through this fascinating corner of Cambodia, where whole villages live in clusters of stilted houses and subsist with very few possessions. 

    This day, generally–and this excursion specifically–will certainly provide you with a unique perspective on just how different your life is from the people who live in this region.

  • After breakfast, you will head out into the Cambodian countryside to explore the villages on a bicycle.  This is a great, unobtrusive way to see rural Cambodian life and the dirt tracks are perfect for meandering through rice paddies, along canals and through the quaint village roads.  Stop frequently for snacks and water and take in the scenery.
